What
I was inspired to create this app when my friend got engaged. She wanted to have a destination wedding overseas but worried about how she would be able to plan everything without having to travel back and forth.
How
How do you plan a wedding in another country when you are not there and may not speak the local language?
Why
Create an app where you can find a location, venue, vendors, Hotels, and transportation from the users' smartphone or laptop.
Problem Statement
How do you find the right location without having to travel to Spain? As well as spend the time driving around looking for that perfect location. How do you know if the place can accommodate the number of guests? Or is close enough to the Hotel.
User Journey Map
This User Journey Map shows all of the steps that the user needs to go through when planning a destination wedding.

Pain Points
-
How will the user find a venue?
-
How will they be able to find and work with vendors?
-
How will the user find hotels for their guest to stay?
-
What kind of activities can their guest do during their stay in Spain. Close by.
Low-Fidelity Prototype
What I Learned
Selecting the flowers is more helpful with knowledge about the vendors. Also knowing if the venue can accommodate your party, we well as the distance from the airport and hotels. Also having more information about the vendors, the user plan, and book with more confidence.
What I Added
-
Created the Logo
-
Map showing the location from the venue to the airport
-
The number of guests the host is planning to have. That way the app can pick a location that will accommodate the number of guests.
High-Fidelity Prototype
Conclusion
In conclusion, having a way for the user to commutate with different types of vendors is just as important for the user's expectation. Going forward adding a language translator so the user can commutate with vendors with ease.
